Ten Mile Lake 2010 I just read Elizabeth Gilbert’s The Last American Man yesterday. An easy to read biography of Eustace Conway and his determination to become a true “American Man” in a country that no longer has a use for men with hammers, knives, and pioneer-like savviness. Cut to: Ten Mile Lake, where these boys are determined to be boys and we are all trying to hold on to what it means to be authentic.
