Not the First, or the Last Thing I Put My Family Through…
From sister’s site:
I was instantly reminded of Rachelle’s own premature driving experience. Here’s my comment:
“Be careful! My sister and I were playing drive-thru in my dad’s Jeep and she somehow managed to roll the Jeep down the driveway into our neighbor’s new station wagon. My mom had to go to the ER for stitches in her forehead after she tried to stop the Jeep with her 100-lb. body.”
What I did not mention is that my involvement in the crime (strapping our Cabbage Patch dolls into the backseat) left me in sobs and I was guilt-ridden for weeks. Rachelle, on the other hand, was oblivious to the repercussions of her escapade (two damaged vehicles and an injured mother) and grateful for an opportunity to go play Nintendo at our neighbor’s house.
I have always been the responsible one.
She, the daring.
