I had a rock collection that I polished everyday…this and playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with the neighborhood boys was pretty much how I spent all of my free time from 1991-1993. I also started this other rad site: guestofaguest.com Email me at Rachelle [at] guestofaguest [dot] com Clicky Web Analytics

My Two Cents…

doree:

Something that makes me sad: the all-maleness of Gawker. I love (most of) the people who write there now, but the lack of ladies has really become glaring, especially since the people who write over there occasionally (T.A.N., Cajun Boy, Josh Stein, Foster) are also dudes. I’m not debating the merits of any of the individual writers or the merits of ladywriting vs. dudewriting, just saying that I think getting some estrogen up in there would give the site a little something that it seems to be lacking these days.

It’s because the girls there (like Melissa) do the parties with tequila present!  Anyway, not to be nit picky, but I’m confused that in the post about our party yesterday there are loads of photos of the same media crew we always see.  I mean Steve Lewis was there, Jen Gatien (Peter Gatien’s daughter who is uber talented film maker), designer Keith Lissner (who is on Bravo!), Malcolm Harris, Lincoln Mayne, etc.  Not saying I don’t love seeing Rex and whoever he has in tow that day with him, just would like them to have been more diverse. Regarding Nikola, I love the guy and was flattered he came. He was one of my firsts….
