Be Careful What You Wish For.....
I had a one way ticket to Omaha last Friday morning and got snowed in. I now was “Lucky” to get on a flight that leaves at 5:30 am tomorrow with a long layover in Houston….a cost of almost 7 extra hours. Thinking of my aging grandparents, and, growing old in general, makes me think of one of my favorite poems; “The Love Song of Alfred J. Prufrock” by T.S. Elliot. I studied it intensively in a college lit class and even brough in the Crash Test Dummies’ “Afternoons and Coffeespoons” written on the poem. I have included some of my favorite lines:

Bobo’s Holiday party is tonight, and I’m so sad I’ll be missing it. I remember stopping in the West Village Restaurant 2 summers ago and watching owner, Carlos Suarez working away from scratch. He is such a cool guy. I bet this party will be so much fun!
